For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
We live and make life choices based on conclusions (beliefs) we have made from how we perceived and processed events in our lives. When there is a habit or area that we do not like about ourselves, we might make a resolution. Resolutions are based on our own opinions of areas that need to be changed. Many times, the area we want to change, or the method we are using to change it becomes our focus. Some people are successful in making changes through these kinds of resolutions.
However, the transformation that is discussed in Romans 12:2 comes about differently.
During the final days of 2013, time was spent reflecting on the past year, as well as looking ahead to the new year. During time with Jesus, the word “intentional” kept coming up. The meaning is “done with design or purpose.” (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary). Immediately the Lord reminded me of the first part of Philippians 3:10.
